After working out the necessary details for immigration and planning how to avoid being separated by visa issues, Andy and Ryoko married in stages. First, on June 14th, they got married in a Justice of the Peace wedding in Los Angeles, and then they were able to start their paperwork. Later on July 17th, they married in a very small church wedding at their home church (San Fernando Valley Holiness Church, a Japanese American congregation), in order to be married before God. They are really planning on the “big wedding” next summer after Andy graduates, when families and friends will all be invited for the big celebration. So we are looking forward to that, when Ryoko’s parents and family from Japan will all be able to come out with us for that special time. We will tell you all about it! Meanwhile, we are very happy for Andy and Ryoko, who will be getting their apartment set up together by early September in Santa Monica, near where she is working at a hair salon. Here’s a couple pics from wedding one and wedding two.
