Ministry in Japan CCC Leadership
Since 1996 Steve worked in the National Office northwest of Tokyo with two main responsibilities.
First, he served as the National Administrator, responsible for the accounting, human resources, international communications, and Japanese materials production.
Second, he gave leadership to the JCCC movement as the Coverage Coordinator, which is the part of CCC charged with helping build movements by supporting our ministries broad sowing (wide sharing of the gospel) while giving those who respond an opportunity for follow up and training.
Serving in the national office enabled the staff and short termers totaling 150 from Japan, America, Taiwan, Canada, Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong to help reach Japanese university students at many of the top universities of Japan by meeting their needs in the above areas.
Rochelle, while primarily caring for Steve and the three children, was also involved in local ministry with English Conversation Bible studies. She had groups in the local neighborhood and in our local
Japanese church. Through their English interest and contact with the word of God, some of these ladies came to faith in Jesus, too!
We especially praise God for being able to serve the church through the Love Japan 2000 project and the Jesus video ministry. Since 1996 nearly 2 million Japanese have been exposed to the good news of Jesus through videos, tapes and gospel tracts distributed by some and nearly 7 million more have seen some part of it on TV!
God has brought over 2000 short term project members from churches and campuses in Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the US to distribute the good news of Jesus in hundreds of unchurched towns and villages of Japan! Praise God! Many Japanese pastors and lay people partnered with these teams to share Christ.
Leading in Tokyo!
For the last 5 years we have been working in the National Office, responsible for the accounting, human resources, international communications, materials development and production as well as giving leadership to the movement as the Coverage Coordinator, which is the part of CCC charged with helping give everyone in Japan at least one opportunity to say Yes! to Christ.

Last December a joint project to give the gift of a Christmas Jesus video to friends and family of Christians in Japan resulted in 85,000 videos being personally given out by Japanese Christians, and we expect more will be touched this way again this year.
Chuo Line Project and Jesus on TV Christmas 2000!
This fall Kazu (the national director) and I are working with other staff on a project to expose many more Japanese to Christ. We are working with the Jesus film office to arrange paid time for “Jesus” on a series of 25 regional TV stations in Japan at Christmas. Please be in prayer that this contract will work out okay!
Pastors on 2 central train lines east-west in Tokyo are cooperating to arrange special events during December, which will be advertised in the trains, along with promotion of the Jesus video for sale.
We are expecting that several millions of Japanese will see the TV showing, and many more will be exposed through events with the churches and sales of the videos.
Please remember the Chuo Line Project in prayer!
Pray for the churches in Tokyo that work with this project, that the Lord will use them to lead many Tokyo-ites into the Kingdom of God!
