Been there, done that! The LA trip went very well. I had a great time seeing Andy and my folks, then the RJC conference, then visits with friends at my home church.
There were over 100 at the RJC conference which networked those who are working with Japanese while in the US in the southern California region. I am looking to develop more connections that will help channel returning Japanese students to JCCC. I am also hopeful of helping develop a group like this while at Orlando when we are working there.
Some last minute changes resulted in me speaking about how the Gallup Survey is viewed in Japan in terms of potential uses of the information for outreach among Japanese. I shared some of the current uses and related news from the field to encourage the conferees. Everyone received a Christmas CD as a sample of a current mass evangelism tool for Japan.
At my home church I was able to update several folks on our plans for the move to Orlando. It was fun and encouraging to me to meet with old friends again! Praise God too for a safe and smooth voyage. Thanks for praying.
