After covering over 6000 miles this summer, 18 states plus the District of Columbia, our car is ready for a rest. And we are too! We had such a wonderful summer seeing people all over, some where they live and others from all over the world in the 2 conferences we attended and served in.
We found friends, some of whom we hadn’t seen in many years – and enjoyed staying with them along our way! We met new friends we serve through CCC who were from Russia and Khazakstan, East Asia and our own beloved Japan.
We stayed with my brother for several days south of Denver, and when my father and mother came, the 3 men, with much help, built an extension on the play structure, all 2×6’s and wood screws and paint. Lots of fun!!
Now we are sorting through the piles of mail, digging into the weeds, getting ready for school to start in a week, and catching up on finances. I’m looking forward to starting work Monday and meeting our new staff members on the Sending Team!
We have Kristen and Jessica joining the recruiting team (and possibly Gary too I hear), and new staff member Lauren who will start working with the STINTers we send overseas each year. Please pray for us as we get used to each other and working together.
